Weekend at the beach!

I hope I haven't given the impression that Spain is a bad place to be, it's just really boring here during the week. This weekend is going to be awesome! I am headed to Rota to the beach. I have a room reserved at the Navy Lodge and I am going to get away from this place and relax. I intended for this to be a weekend to myself but Rolando was able to get off work so he is going to come along. It will be more fun with someone to hang out with anyway.

There have been some serious arguments and gossip amongst several of the people that I am here with and I somehow seem to get caught in the middle. I haven't played sides and I have remained nuetral in these little tiffs they keep getting into but it still makes me crazy because the two parties both use me as a sounding board to talk negative about one another to me. I have prayed about it and done whatever I could to try and make them understand that they need to just leave each other alone because they just aren't going to get along. Now, I guess I am the bad guy because it just so happens that Rolando and I are catching a ride to the beach with one person which has left the other person angry. You understand what kind of childish stuff I'm putting up with here? Instead of just leaving well enough alone, now they are doing things to purposely spite the other. It's ridiculous!
Sorry to be venting to you all, it's just frustrating and it is making the deployment even tougher to deal with because of all this stupidity! I pretty much just removed myself from the situation. which is funny, because I was sitting in my room and I wondered what the Bible says about gossip...Well, Here's What I Got (notice how I snuck that in?) Proverbs 20:19 "He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, Therefore do not associate with a gossip." There's some great wisdom in Proverbs. I did a Bible study on it once, it might be time to do it again.
Again, I apologize for venting about the idiocrity that I am putting up with here.
So, today, the webcams worked like a champ! I saw Lily's sleepy little face this morning. The morning is always one of my favorite times with her because she will crawl up in your lap and just snuggle with you until she decides she is fully awake. We sometimes take the little things for granted until they aren't there anymore. I can't wait to see my family and for the kids to come and give me "Big Lovins" as Lily calls it.
Connor talked my leg off as usual this morning, he; unlike Lily, did recieve the talking gene from his Mama. Andria uses me as a babysitter, I keep the kids occupied with the webcam while she gets ready for work. It was so awesome to see them this morning! Keep your fingers crossed tht the internet stays working around here so I can see them again tomorrow!

Well, before I close, I wanted to give a shout out to Morgan Darr who is having a Birthday today! "Happy Birthday Morgan!" Have A Great Weekend!
