Is it Friday yet?

Is it just me or does this week seem neverending? I can't wait until this weekend. It's a 3 day weekend followed up on Tuesday with a concert. Well, actually more like a variety show I guess. Tops in Blue is an Air Force production that tours to different bases putting on shows for the troops and they will be here on Sept. 2nd.

This weekend I am going to do a little traveling and site seeing. On Saturday I am going to Albuferia Portugal. Supposedly the beaches there are really beautiful and the good news is; most people speak English there. Sunday I plan to go to Chapel and just relax and then Monday I have bought a ticket to tour the Al Ahambra in Grenada. The Al Ahambra is an old castle and they only allow so many people in each day. To be allowed in, you have to go online and purchase a ticket. I have gone in with 3 other people to rent a car so that we can all get out and see some sites.
Other than that, nothing exciting to report.
The focus of the book I'm studying now is "Back to the basics of authentic Christianity" David Jeremiah says there are 5 things that help us define ourselves as Christians. How do you know what a Christian looks like? I'm sure you can think of many answers but here are the 5 that the book centers around:
1. Dusty Shoes
2. Worn-Out Knees
3. Rolled-Up Sleeves
4. An Open Hand
5. Outstretched Arms
If you think about it, that pretty much sums up what a Christian should look like. I have to say, I am guilty of not having all of these qualities but it's something to strive for.
Life Sign Day 8: Am I willing to get my feet dusty in the streets of my community?
Life in Action Day 8: What opportunities can I actively pursue to be salt and light in my neighborhood?

Thanks for the comment section "Andria". The tops in blue would be great to see. Life Sign Day 8 sounds directed to the SS Class. We could do more action in this area. I guess I should say hey to Philip while I am here. "Hey Philip"

Jeb, I was thinking the same thing...not saying Hey to me...the part about this post being directed to our SS class (Life Group). We need to take these trait on each personally, and the Life Group will take care of itself. Hey Jeb!
