Surprise visit

Last night I had a surprise visit from my family. Andria took the webcam to my parents house and hooked it up so when we visited last night I was able to see my Dad and Mom as well as, Mel and Brooks and also Andria and the kiddos. It was good to see everyone. It was about 2:00 A.M. my time so I was a little tired, but it was worth staying up to see everyone. I just wish I were home to eat a hamburger with them.

I mentioned in one of my previous posts that I had gone to a "Spanish BBQ" place, believe it or not, it was pretty good. It's not BBQ like we think of, it's really just meat cooked over charcoal. There is no sauce, no seasoning, nothing, it's just meat cooked on an outdoor grill. There were several of us so we ordered two mixed meat platters which is a lot of food. It is Beef, Chicken, Pork, and Lamb cooked and served on a bed of french fries that are soaked in salt and vinegar. It was actually pretty good.

Today, I took a trip to Rota to the BX. I just went along because it beats sitting here all day. I bought a new hat, a pair of socks, the movie "Slingblade" and a couple of cable connectors so that I can hook up a TV in my office. I don't know why I bother with the cable, we only get like three or four channels, but I do like to listen to the news in the morning.

Tonight a group of us are going to the community center to watch "Slingblade". I love that movie. Maybe I'm just weird, but to me, there are some really funny lines in that movie.
Tomorrow it's off to Grenada to see the Al Ahambra. I think that will be really interesting and I'm looking forward to going.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Now, you didn't think I would let you get away without today's life sign, did you?
Life Sign, Day 11: The most important thing I can say is "Jesus loves you."
Life in Action, Day 11: What keeps you from witnessing to others?
