Portugal

Today I went to Albufiera Portugal for a day trip. It takes about 3 hours to drive there from the base and we ended up getting there right around noon. We grabbed a little snack and then headed to the marina to find out about boat tours. Portugal has a really cool coastline and there are several boats that will take you on a 2-3 hour tour of the coast. There are lots of caves and huge rocks that line the shore and tucked in between the large cliffs are the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen.
We found a boat tour that was 18 euros and decided to take it. It was a 70 ft sailboat that seated 45 people but today there were only 16 people on board so it felt like we had the boat all to ourselves. We saw several other boats that were doing tours as well. Everything from really large catamarans to small 5 person boats were all following the coastline looking at the spectacular views. I met a really nice couple from Holland on the boat and we talked for quite some time. They are planning a trip to the US sometime in the near future but until then they are continuing to travel Europe, can't say as I blame them.
So, that's about it for the Portugal story, I really have to show you the pictures for you to get the full effect.
