My apologies to all of my loyal readers. The internet service has been down here for that past 24 hours and I have been unable to post. I have also not been able to webcam with Andria and the kids. That's really not a good way to start off the week.
There's really not much to tell from here. During the week, it seems to be a standard routine. Work, eat, sleep, repeat...
We have a meeting in the morning for the Top III enlisted grades on the base. We got a new first sergeant on base about a week ago and he thinks he needs to address the Top III enlisted to discuss his "Expectations" . First Shirts tend to annoy me. They have their function which is to take care of people but they often times just get in the way more than anything. I suppose they are a necessity but when they start acting like they have some extra supervisory function, I pretty much just want to tell them to "Take a hike!" This particular shirt is the same rank as me so he doesn't tend to mess with me to much, which is the way I prefer to keep it.
So, tonight I'm watching Talladega Nights! I had seen bits of it but never watched the whole thing. It's got some pretty funny stuff in there. Who knew that "El Diablo" actually meant "Some kind of fighting Spanish chicken with claws and a beak." Hmm...I'm going to have to consult my Spanish dictionary on that one... The things you can learn from a Will Ferrell movie. Well, until tomorrow, have a good evening!
