Sunday is here and unfortunately there isn't much exciting news to tell. I got up around 10:00 and gathered up my dirty clothes and then headed to the laundry room. I'm sure you get the idea about what happens next so I'll spare you the details. I guess I could try to make it really interesting. So, there I was adding a scoop of laundry detergent to the properly sorted clothes... Ah, who am I kidding, laundry is boring no matter how you put it. Actually, Andria doesn't normally like my method of doing laundry. I tend to cut out a few steps, like sorting the clothes into 20 seperate piles. I pretty much have dark clothes and white clothes and that's about the extent of my sorting. No, sorting fabric types or taking things out of the dryer to lay them out when they are only half dry, I pretty much just throw it in the washer and when it's done, I throw it all in the dryer. Occasionally as an added bonus, I'll throw in a dryer sheet....Now that's what you call living on the edge in the world of laundry.
Around 11:15 headed to Chapel, it's actually one of the things I look forward to each week. Chaplin Croft gave a good message today from the book of Matthew regarding Peace. He is doing a series on finding happiness and while his sermons have to remain somewhat neutral in terms of denomination, he tends to deliver messages that speak to everyday life. Everyone in Chapel today was invited to a going away party for several people tonight at the community center on base and it was a nice fellowship. The base is so small and the U.S. people that are here rely on each other so heavily for support that when they move on to another base, it is quite a sad experience. On the flip side, I will say that they waste no time in welcoming new people into the Chapel "Family" as they like to call it. It's nice because many have their families here and they welcome you in, making it a little easier when you are away from your own family.
I was really missing Andria and the kids today and going to Chapel and the fellowship tonight really helped.
