Yep, looking at the weather, it looks as if we are in for several hours of freezing rain tonight. It sure is cold outside! We were supposed to go to Connor's PTO program tonight but due to the impending weather, the school officials decided to cancel it. I think it's been rescheduled for Thursday night. Connor was bummed when he heard it was cancelled. He was really excited when he discovered I was home tonight instead of in Washington DC. He really wanted me to be at his program and I really hated to miss it. I was kind of looking forward to the trip but I'm really glad to have every evening this week to spend at home with Andria and the kiddos. If I can just make it through this week, I get to take 9 days off for Christmas! Wahoo!!!
The last several days have been a bit hectic. I was off last Friday and went to Connor's school to help decorate gingerbread houses that they had made. His teacher, Mrs Turner; is a really great teacher and you can tell that she makes their class so much fun. I spent an hour there and I think I had as much fun as the kids. I told her I was mentally exhausted, but for an hour, I got to see Connor in his classroom environment and we both had fun decorating his gingerbread house. I have to say, that I totally respect all the teachers and administrators that I know. I'm not sure where you all get your patience from, but I could certainly take a lesson or two from you, I'm sure!
Saturday we stayed around the house until it was time to go to a Sunday School Christmas party. We went to Jessie and Michelle Winters house and had a really good time. Philip was in rare form and provided a short stand up routine which was hilarious! We played the dirty santa game and I ended up with a crock pot, not a bad gift if I do say so myself. Although, I really wanted the t-shirt the Philip brought but couldn't bring myself to steal it from anyone! The party was a lot of fun, "Thanks" to Jesse and Michelle for opening up their home to us all.
We did miss Angel at the party, hopefully all of the Ciecla kiddos are feeling better!
Sunday we went to Church and then went to Fort Smith to do some Christmas shopping. Connor and I also went to get haircuts. My sister, Melissa, was working and so we went to see her and get our haircut while Andria and Lily went shopping. "Thanks for the haircuts, Mel!" During Sunday School, we discussed having a blog for our class where everyone could log in and post goings on in our everyday lives as well as prayer requests and such. Philip has the blog just about ready to go and as soon as he decides that it's time to put it out to the masses, I'll add a link to it for those that might be interested.
Before I knew what happened, it was Monday morning and time to go back to work!

Hope everyone has a great week!
