My World...

One of my favorite local area bands is a group called Trout Fishing in America http://www.troutmusic.com/ and they have several kids CD's out that our kids love. One of the things that I really like about them is that they really have an interest in kids and even the songs that they write for adult ears are suitable for children to hear. They label their music as pop/folk and family music. The group is made up of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet and these guys write some crazy songs. Stay with me, I'm going somewhere with this story, I swear. Trout Fishing performs a song called "My World" in which they talk about staring off into space and dreaming about "A highway where gravity stops working and cars and trucks are flying high above the town..." the chorus to the song then goes on to say that "In my world, it's a very nice arrangement here in my world, it's always entertaining here in my world, I never get bored, never get bogged down, I never get sore, in My World!"

So, I tell you this long story for two reasons, one, to tell you about Trout Fishing in America. You should check out their website and if you want to listen to some of their music, I'll be happy to loan you a CD. The other reason is because tonight I was apparently staring off into space contemplating how interesting my toes are or something, actually, I have no idea what I was thinking about. Anyway, Andria was on the couch trying to get my attention and when I finally came out of "My world" she was laughing at me.

In other news my friend Jackie sent me a picture of a nice buck that he shot this morning! I thought about trying my hand at hunting again this weekend but I really have some chores I have been putting off that really need to be taken care of.

Well, tomorrow is finally Friday! Wahoo!

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it."

P.S. If you have never contemplated how interesting your toes are, you should try it sometime.
