Book review blogger...

A couple days ago, I was reading Ms. Tracy Winchell's blog http://www.tracyplaces.net/ , Tracy works for the city of Fort Smith and was instrumental in helping save the 188th when the base was on the BRAC list. Thanks to Tracy and a group of dedicated folks in Fort Smith, I still have a job to go to each day and we all get to hear the "Sound of freedom" as the A-10's fly overhead. "Thanks" Tracy!

Anyway, in her blog, she told about a program called book review blogger by Thomas Nelson Publishers. Thomas Nelson more than likely published the Bible you carry with you each week to church and probably many of the books you have read over the years. Now they have a program where you can request a book and after you read it, you write a review of the book in your blog and also post your review on another website such as Amazon or Google and you get to keep the book. When you sign up to become a book review blogger, they ask you for your preferences in literature and have catagories for childrens books, fiction, spiritual growth, Bibles, personal growth, business and finance, etc. So, if you like to read and don't mind doing a little writing, this seems like a good deal. you can check it out at http://brb.thomasnelson.com/

In other news today, Lily dropped two of her baby spoons into the garbage disposal and then Andria unknowingly turned it on. So, tonight I had to take the disposal apart and use a pry bar, yes, I said a pry bar, to get the mangled spoons out of the disposal. End of story right, wrong! When I re-installed the disposal, I somehow managed to not get it seated against the sink good so when Andria started doing a few dishes, guess where most of the water went? I'll give you a hint, it wasn't down the drain like it should have. There was water everywhere under the sink, so much so that it ran out and soaked the carpet. So, if anyone out there is looking for a good plumber, I'm not the guy to call. As a matter of fact, if you called the worst plumber in the phone book, he would be 10 times better than me. All I can say is "Ooops!"

I also wanted to give a shout out to a couple of folks today. First off, "Happy Anniversary to Jeb and Shelli Baldwin!" The second couple I want to shout out to today is Nelson and Missy Brock! My friend Philip says that Missy made a comment about the blogging to him Sunday at church and since Phillip gave her a shout out today, I decided to continue with that theme! "Hey Nelson and Missy!" To quote the line from the movie Young Guns, "I'll make ya famous!" ha ha

I am sorry, but I would have paid good money to see you use a pry bar working on the drain to release the mangled spoons. Any other takers out there that would have loved to see this? That is good comedy there!
