Today I spent the day with Connor and Lily. Andria had to work so I decided that we would go meet her somewhere for lunch and then the kids and I would go to the mall or find something fun to do. We ate at Chick-Fil-A and then Me, Lily and Con went to the mall to attempt some Christmas shopping but mostly we went just to see how many people were out shopping on Black Friday. The mall was pretty busy and we walked around for a while. We stopped to see my sister at Master Cuts but she wasn't there so we went to a couple stores and then went to play glow golf. If you haven't been to play glow golf, you don't know what you're missing...Ok, really, it's nothing more than a mini golf course that is all painted with neon and the whole place is under black light...Nothing too exciting, however, it did keep the kids happy for quite a while.
After glow golf, we stopped by to wave at Santa Clause. Lily likes the idea of Santa, but she is scared of "That Santa at the mall" as she says. She will wave to him from a distance but that's about it. When I suggested getting a little closer, she climbed all the way up me and was pretty much on top of my head. Chuck-E-Cheese produces the same reaction, good thing there isn't a Disney vacation planned anytime in the near future, she would flip out with all the lifesize Disney characters running around.
On our way home, we turned off Hwy 71 on our normal route and just after passing Watson road we saw some goats in the road. Apparently, they had escaped from their pen and were out roaming around. I stopped in the road and asked the kids if they wanted to get out and pet them. Connor seemed to take an interest but Lil said "No Way!" I jokingly said that maybe we should get some goats at our house and Lily said "No goats!" She further informed me that if I were to bring a goat home, that she would knock it in the head with a big rock, she's pretty violent for a 4 year old! I told her that wasn't very nice, while trying not to laugh hysterically and she told me that as long as I didn't bring any goat to her house, she would be nice! I guess that's a fair deal. ha ha
All in all, we had a pretty fun day just bumming around town. Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I know I did. I just wish I wouldn't have eaten so much, Uugh! I'm still a little miserable from all that food.
