Well, I guess no matter where you live in this world you can always find some type of superstore, well, maybe not everywhere just yet! Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to Eroski's which is the equivalent of a Wal-Mart supercenter. I'm not sure which I like better. Wal-Mart has things organized a little better but Eroski's has little stores within the large store. One of the little stores has sporting goods and another one has kids toys, etc... Where as Wal-Mart only has different sections. It's really a toss up but I think over all, I would probably prefer Wally world for the simple fact that I can read the labels and I know what I am purchasing.
A couple of things were pretty humorous to me while I was there. I decided to buy a nice button down shirt so that I would look nice for Andria and the kids when I got off the plane. I went looking for an XL but found that in Spain I wear a "Super Grande" or SG instead of an XL. The other thing I noticed when I was checking out was the canned vegetables, they looked familiar but "Gigante Verde" on the can instead of "Green Giant" kinda threw me.
Well, I should write all the companies I have mentioned in the blog today and ask them if they would like more advertising! Maybe I can talk them out of a few cans of green beans or something.
It's only a few more days until I get home. I can't wait! I am so excited to come home that I am already living out of my suitcase. I finished emptying the clothes out of the dresser this evening and packed a lot of it away in a box to mail home. Apparently, the airlines are notorious for losing luggage coming and going from here and it is better to mail everything home.
I am so ready to wrap my arms around my family and spend time with our friends. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity but it will be good to get home, besides, I think Andria is tired of being a single parent.
I have met some really great people on this trip and hopefully we will all stay in touch with each other, some are even fans of the blog now! It would take a whole page to list them all, people at the front desk, people I work with, people in the dining facility, school, and childcare facilities, etc...The list could go on forever. You know, I was thinking...What's up with that? I had to come all the way to Spain to get readers for my blog! ha ha
This has been quite an adventure...not exactly Indiana Jones type stuff, but nevertheless, an adventure that I won't forget. I can't wait to tell you all about it and show you the hundreds of pictures I took. Maybe I'll put them all in a slide show and we'll do like they did when people had their vacation photos made into slides. Picture this...Philip sitting at my house half asleep on the couch and me saying "And here I am in Spain" for hours and hours! Ok, maybe I'll make a condensed version and anyone that wants to see all the pictures can subject themselves to the torture at their leisure!
Well, I guess I will close for now! I still don't have a catchy phrase so I'll leave you with a proverb for today.
"Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who aquires understanding for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold. She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares to her." -Proverbs 3:13-15

Spain will miss you. The country will never be the same. We will miss your reporting from Spain. It is like we have our own foreign correspondent. Mike Francis...NBC News. Mike Francis...Fox News. Kind of catchy.
