Farewell to Whitford

The Air Force lost an exceptional troop today. Shane Whitford is retiring after 20 years of service. Shane was the Airfield Manager here and has an impressive resume' and an esteemed career. There are many times when Shane was sent to an "Unknown" place to set up an airfield that no one knew about until weeks later when the general public would hear about a military operation somewhere in the world. His name was known throughout the Air Force as the Airfield Management go to guy. Shane and his wife are retiring to Georgia where Shane is going to work for his brother as a home inspector. Shane will be missed here, I'm sure, but I know that he is ready to be reunited with his wife and family in Georgia.

Speaking of being reunited with family, I only have a few days left. I can't wait to see Lily, Connor, and Andria. It will be good to see all my family and friends and I'm excited about going to my sister's wedding on the 18th.
See you all soon!
