An earthquake and a prayer!

Hmm. I guess I should learn to be a little more observant! It seems we had a sizeable earthquake here on October 2nd and I totally didn't notice. It happened around 7:00 AM and was 3.8 on the Richter scale followed by two aftershocks. The epicenter was around Moron de la Frontera which is the nearest town. I have narrowed down the possibilities of where I was at the point and time. I have decided that since I have to be at work at 7:30 that I must have either still been in bed, which is possible considering I sometimes sleep until 7:15 and then rush around to get to work, OR, I was in the shower, in which case I might have still been half asleep and just not noticed. Still, I'm wondering how one doesn't notice an earthquake?

I visited with the Chaplin and his family for a while last night and yesterday was somewhat of a bad day for their family. The Chaplins wife's name is Krista, which I probably didn't spell correctly, but anyway, it was her birthday yesterday. "Happy Birthday, Krista" However, the bad part of the day came in the form of a phone call which let Krista know that her sister has pancreatic cancer. Please pray for Johna, Krista's sister! I know that the family is going through a difficult time with hearing this news. The Bible says that we should pray for each other and I believe this means even for those people that we don't know personally.
Well, not many days left in Spain now. It's hard to believe that I will be on an airplane in just a few short days.
See you all soon!

We pray for Johna, Krista and her family. We pray to God for a miracle in her life.

Mike, I am sure everyone is ready to see you. Leave those earthquakes with you. Do not bring them home.

Prayers to you on your trip.
