Goodbye...

Today I said goodbye to our Christmas decorations for another year. It's good to finally get things put away. We actually had everything taken down a couple days after New Years but just haven't had time to get it all stored. Now, if I just knew what to do with all this other junk laying around here, I'd be doing good.

Last night we had a home group study at Philip and Kelly Darr's house. We are discussing the book "One month to live" and last night was a pretty good turnout. We ate some good food, and John Ceisla led the discussion for about 30 minutes or so. It was good to see Tim and Amy Brinkley. Tim and Amy recently had a baby and to add to the added stress that can bring, Tim just had knee surgery as well. Glad to see they are doing good. The highlight of the evening though, was after everything was over. Philip, Kelly, Morgan, and Lizzie Kate (aka. "The Caker) were walking us out to our car so that we could go home. "Cakers" hopped on her tricycle and started riding it like a pro. Philip and Kelly were so excited because she has never actually ridden, but has always pushed it around. Philip has a few pictures on his blog http://www.upwardpoint.blogspot.com/ of Lizzie Kate riding and one of her jumping up and down they are really cute pictures!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

One last thing... You may have noticed that I added something to the side of my blog concerning the Freedom of Choice Act. This is something that the incoming president and his democratic minions want to sign into law. I personally haven't read the entire proposal but what I can surmise from the website is that this will do away with most if not all Abortion laws currently in place. It will cause faith based hospitals to have to perform abortions and will also allow for partial birth abortion. The thing is, there are thousands of couples willing to adopt, especially infants. Although some doctors say that a fetus would never feel anything, I have to wonder how they can say that when kids are born premature all the time and parents aren't allowed to touch them for weeks becuase their nervous system is so sensitive as it is developing? But hey, I'm just Me and not Mike Francis M.D. So my professional medical opinion doesn't mean anything. If I were a doctor, I'd change my name to Trapper John...That guy was cool! Remember the show, "Trapper John M.D.?" OK, Seriously, President elect Obama and Nancy Pelosi are pushing hard to get this signed. I have always thought that Nancy Pelosi is off her rocker. Ooops, did I actually just type that! YES! I DID and the funny thing is, my delete key just broke so I can't take it back! Ha Ha
I often wonder if our politicians are so removed from everyday life that they truly don't have a clue as to how the average blue collar worker lives...Ah, I guess that's another story for another day! Anyway, if you want to have a voice against the Freedom of Choice Act, go to the website and sign the petition. Pray for our Country! Thanks!
