A New Adventure

Here's what I got for you today! Welcome back! That's really for me and you both.  It's been a long time!  I started to let this go and start over with a new blog but I just couldn't do it.  I have history with this blog and while the new one was going to be a very similar name, I just couldn't part with this one.  So, welcome back!  I'm about to embark on yet another journey that I want to share with you.  I've had a few adventures since I last posted but it would take forever to get caught up.  Maybe when this trip is over, I'll share some of the other places I have been.  I'm about to head south, like waaaaaaay south, to Antarctica and I thought you might like to follow along?  I'll do a daily update as time permits to give you an idea of the conditions.  Hey, I'm not gone yet, but lets see what the weather is doing in Antarctica just for fun.  Today at McMurdo Station the high was 0 and the low was -23.  It's beginning to be Summer there and it appears there's quite a heat wave going on....Brrrr!  Just for kicks, I decided to see what was happening at Amundson-Scott Station (The South Pole) where it's a balmy -67 but feels like -101. I can't even fathom how cold that must be but I'm sure the old saying about being colder than a well diggers backside would most definitely apply!  I'll be at McMurdo Station for most of my time on the ice but will possibly make a trip down to the South Pole for an inspection, weather permitting.  Stay tuned kids, more to follow!
