You know occasionally my kids ask me questions that I have no answer for. Usually it's Connor asking me some off the wall question, but Lily is the culprit of my latest unanswerable question. It went a little something like this:
Lily: "Daddy, I want to go deer hunting with you!"
Me: "Baby, it's really cold when I go deer hunting, I think you would get too cold."
Lily: "If it's so cold daddy, why do you go?"
Me: (cue the crickets chirping) no answer.
I went on to explain that I like to be out in the woods, enjoying all the great things that God had made but reasoning with a 4 yr old just doesn't seem to work and we really never got past her question. Heck, she even had me questioning myself...Hmmm, why do I go out there and freeze every year? I guess I can't explain it, it's just something I enjoy.
