Busy, Busy, Busy!

My friend Philip wrote in his blog about being busy and I totally agree with him. I don't know what it is about this time of year, but it always seems like April and May are really busy months. I have started teaching Motorcycle Safety classes again...it was good to get out there again. I am going to try and teach at least two weekends a month for a while. It's something I enjoy doing so it doesn't really seem like work. The only downside is that it takes all weekend to complete a basic riders class which means I don't get to go to church on Sunday morning. It is really fun to take someone who has never been on a motorcycle and by the end of the weekend, have them riding pretty good. It's just like anything else, it takes practice to get better.

In addition to MSF classes, I am in charge of the hospitality room for this years Enlisted Association convention in Rogers, AR this weekend. I have to attend a board meeting tonight and then be up there off and on all weekend. This is about as much fun as....well, I can't think of anything that boring to compare it to, so I'll just say that I would much rather be doing just about anything else!

In May, I have drill..of course, followed by two weekends of MSF classes and then I get a little break to go on the annual BS Ride with my Dad, Uncles and Cousins. That should be a lot of fun!

June is not as busy but I do get another break to go to North Carolina with my Dad and Uncle Tim for a week.

July and August get here soon after and my schedule picks up again. I have to attend a two week mishap investigation class in New Mexico and from there I go straight to Tucson, AZ for a week long stay. The only really cool thing about that is that I get to ride a motorcycle all the way there and back. Of course the end of August brings about a new challenge in our household because we will now have both kids in school. ATTENTION ALL KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS: Lily will be entering the building...be on the lookout!

So, now you know my summer schedule. Since the title of this post is Busy, Busy, Busy, I'm sure the title of my next post will be Tired, Tired, Tired!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!
